BOCCE NEWS

 

Greetings to all players of the Sonoma County Bocce Club!

The Board wants to keep you all abreast of the developments during this off season!

I am going to cover all we have completed since the end of the last season and the projects we need to complete before the start of our 2015 season.

COMPLETED PROJECTS

  1. Two new courts
  2. One new Port-a-Potty/with new position and security fence; we now have a men’s, women’s with ADA
  3. Re-leveling of Courts 1-2-3-4
  4. Cement ADA walkway to courts 2 & 3 (completed by City & Park & Rec)
  5. New Shed—Painted inside and out and secured
  6. The purchase of 6 complete new sets of game balls
  7. Two new Score Boards
  8. Two new ADA Gates-for courts 7 & 8(These are the numbers appointed by Santa Rosa City Parks & Rec as courts 5 & 6 are still in park plans that are in garden area

 

PROJECTS THAT NEED TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE SEASON 2015 STARTS

  1. ADA walkway from Rose Garden to east end of courts 7-2-3
  2. ADA walkway from far east end of park/garden area to farthest east end of courts 7 & 8
  3. ADA walkway down south side of court 7
  4. The purchase of wheel chair picnic table to replace existing table on east-end of rose garden.
  5. The additions of extra benches for new east end of courts 2-3-7-8

We are on our way to completing these projects and if anyone has the time to lend a hand, please contact Corbin Goin for time and dates of work parties, as we can use the help! I would like to express the need to keep Corbin informed on all future projects.  The Board needs to be informed of these work parties to assure our compliance with SR Park & Rec through our liaison. Thank you for your assistance in keeping us informed through these channels in advance.

NEW FACES ON THE BOARD

Please welcome Dani Foster (Wed) and Bob Schneider (Fri) to your Board. The Board is currently looking for one person within the club that would be interested in serving a two-year term at this critical growth of our club. Please make contact through website if you have any questions.
