SCBC Bulletin #2

Sonoma County Bocce Club

March 13th 2015 Bulletin

Bocce Players less than thirty days to go!  Get Ready!  We’re ready!  Most of the points of our off season projects have been completed.  Thanks to ALL of the volunteers that worked very hard to complete these projects.  We will be honoring these club volunteers at the March 29th Meet and Greet at the Druids Hall in Santa Rosa.

Meet And Greet

Druids Hall

1011 College Avenue

Santa Rosa, CA

11:00 Mandatory Capo/or Co-Capo Meeting

12:00 to 2:00 Luncheon for all SCBC members.  Please plan on attending to meet and see both new and old members!

Update on parking:  Santa Rosa City Schools have changed the process of which we need to apply for parking permits.  New forms have been filled out and turned in.  Not knowing how long this will take—plan on parking issues until this is approved.  Thank you for your patience!

Team play nights are as follows:  Monday 6 teams, Tuesday 12 teams, Wednesday 12 teams, Thursday 12 teams, and Friday 5 teams.  Remember to ask friends, family and co-workers to join the league.

Access to the shed!  This is the number one concern of the players and the SCBC Board!  As our league grows it is harder to maintain both security and equipment.    Last season we had several issues with lost keys and missing/broken equipment.  With this being said the Board will have controls in place as we get ready to play. We will need all players cooperation for the protection of all of our investments including the shed and new equipment.

Nights of Play/Court Grooming has been an ongoing issue that the SCBC Board has been looking to improve.  One suggestion, is a team of maintenance people from that night of play (not need to be from same team). This would add continuity of grooming throughout the season.  All interested players should contact Corbin Goin as soon as possible. Other option would use Court One teams as we have in the past for grooming.  Any input or suggestions are greatly appreciated and should be submitted through website.

Will see you at the Meet and Greet on March 29th!  April 6th is first night of league play!

Thank you!
